Things have in mind before moving to Dubai

Are you planning to move to Dubai? There are a few things you should consider to prepare yourself. Based on my personal experience, I have compiled a list that I hope will be helpful to you.

• Travel plans- Finalize your traveling date and time, and book the tickets. If a visa required then apply for it.
• Accommodation — Use some online portal for booking temporary accommodation. Based on the job location and preference you can change it accordingly (please make sure that DEWA bills were inclusive with your bill). My personal recommendation would be Airbnb.
• Currency conversion- based on your plan convert money in the exchange and you can even change it on your arrival.
• Communication channel — Try to buy a sim at the airport with minimal internet and talk time plans, it will save your time and effort.
• Transportation- Transportation is a bit costly in Dubai, so try to use the metro train and bus for your local transportation and you can use taxis for unreachable areas. Use google map efficiently to save your time. (Monthly you have to spend a minimum of 100 Dhs for the RTA Nol card)
• Tourist — if you’re planning as a tourist, Make sure to visit in the right season, so that you feel comfortable on your visit. Use the internet and collect information about the places you were interested to visit and make sure to plan according to your time and availability.

• Document attestation — If you planed for a job search then get your degree certificates attested.
